Welsh dragon with hot chocolate

The welsh dragon curled up with a mug that, until he drank it all, contained some rather nice hot chocolate. Drawn as a present for the guys who run a new cafe and village shop locally, they're really nice and the food is brilliant, as well as it just being beyond cool (and useful!) to have a proper village shop again! Originally it was meant to be a christmas present but I was too late starting and just could not finish in time, so I guess now it's a late new-years present? *shrugs*

Drawn with polychromos, crayola, and reeves colouring pencils. I used the polychromos as much as I could cause they're just nicer, but they're also more expensive so I have limited colours, forcing me to use the cheaper pencils I already have to fill in the missing colours lol. Going to use at least some of my christmas money for more pencils though. ^_^ Paper used was just my standard cheap white A4 copier paper. I have so, SO, much of it. xD I'm not good enough to justify better paper yet anyway, and I've learnt to work with this paper.

I took lots of progress shots of this, so here's a thing. Progress pictures were taken with my phone though (besides the one where all but the carpet was done, that's a scan) so the colours are gonna look a little off. .-. I've done my best to colour-correct them with photoshop though. fav.me/d9mnwfb

I did consider trying to do reflections, but I quickly realised that's beyond my current abilities. I'll do them in future, but I knew I was going to end up with them looking strange and I don't want the distraction of weird reflections that are horribly drawn ruining this drawing, so I left them out.
